Salary: Mental Health Assistant: $19.37 - $22.27 per hour based on experience.Employee Signing Incentive for Regular Full-Time Employees:Livingston County Community Mental Health Authority is excited to offer an Employee Signing Incentive to eligible new hires. Enjoy the potential for career advancement plus an efficient electronic health record system.Role: Mental Health Assistant- PERS Under the supervision of the PERS Program Coordinator, monitors the health, safety, and security of multiple consumers simultaneously via the electronic Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) monitors. Responds to their needs verbally and in person, or by arranging for an appropriate response. PERS runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a midnight position, 6 pm-6 am. Job Specific Requirements: Rotating midnight position working from 6 pm-6 am, including every other weekend and holidays.Qualifications and Experience: Prior experience working with Adults with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities and/or Adults with Mental Illness preferred but not required.High school diploma or equivalent.Valid MI driver's license and reliable transportation.Evening hours required - midnight shift 6 pm- 6 am.Rotating 2-week schedule - Mon, Tues, Friday, Sat, Sun, Wed, Thurs. **Every other weekend is required.Able to work weekends and holidays.Able to work independently with no supervision.Able to discern multiple conversations and noises while external sounds and distractions are present in a room. Good verbal and written communication skills.Able to learn computer operations and documentation procedures, operation of office equipment, filing, and other tasks as assigned.
