Registered Nurse (RN) | Correctional
Location: Elmira, NY
Agency: 22nd Century Healthcare, Inc.
Pay: $60 to $70 per hour
Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Start Date: ASAP

About the Position

Duration : 3 months to long-term

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment.
• Conduct nursing assessments and evaluate resident conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Document assessments, care provided, and resident outcomes in PointClickCare.
• Supervise and direct Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs).
• Coordinate resident care activities and ensure compliance with nursing standards.
• Serve as a clinical leader responsible for unit operations and patient care oversight.
• Monitor resident status and communicate significant changes to physicians and facility leadership.
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOH regulations, facility policies, and best nursing practices.
• Assist with staffing oversight, resident care coordination, and clinical decision-making.
• Monitor CNA assignments, breaks, and workflow as directed.
• Perform CNA-level duties during staffing emergencies as directed by facility leadership.
• Complete facility orientation and competency requirements.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS/CPR
