Applicant must possess an interest and investment in working with children who experience Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). Also have the ability to work as a member of a treatment team in providing a continuum of services to consumers and their families.The MHA will deliver attendant care, respite care, psychosocial rehabilitation and independent living skills to consumers as directed by supervisor. Also, will provide direct one-on-one supervision of consumers and work directly from the Treatment Plan to help them learn independent living skills, complete specific goals, or help stabilize them in crisis situations to avoid out of home placement. The Mental Health Assistant will demonstrate flexibility in being available to work as client need arises.Qualifications:Must be at least 21 years oldHave a high school diploma or equivalentBe familiar with community resources.
